April 27, 2011- An unexpected visit in Yale Hospital happened today. Something terrible happened this morning so we have to drive up to New Haven to see a doctor to help solve my problem. My problem was this morning when I woke up, one tube from my nose came out. I usually sleep on my left side and the tube from my left side just came off this morning. I woke up and went to the bathroom to fix it. I tried it but suddenly it won't go through inside my nose. I have to insert it back because it needs to be there for the rest of the healing process. When it first happened before, it was pretty easy for me to just insert it back but since it's 3 weeks after from my surgery today, everything was healing and it was hard for me to insert the tube back on its place. I told my guardian, Drew Leibrock, on what's going on. I told him that I can't put the tube back in like I used to before. He was a little bit nervous about it. He asked me some questions like "does it hurt when you did put it back in? can u insert it back in without having pain?" I was very nervous when I couldn't put it back in. I told him that I gave a lot of pressure when I did tried to put it back in and I didn't care about it pain but I gave up because something was blocking inside so the tube can't go through. Now the problem is going! I went in the bathroom again and looking at myself in the mirror was rarely bad. Blood was dripping down on my face and my head started to hurt. I sat down on the toilet because I started having dizziness after that pain I had on my nose. I sat down for 5 minutes and then I went in our living room to rest. Dizziness is getting bad! My head was so painful and I can't see anything around me. My guardian called the hospital to know what we should do to the tube. The nurse told him that we need to go see a doctor in Yale. That morning, we left the house at 8 a.m. Very unexpected visit for us. It is an hour away from our town. I still have dizziness in the car. At 8:45 a.m, we reached the hospital. I was still dizzy but I can walk though. We checked in and after 10 minutes, the nurse called my name. We were in the room already waiting for the doctor to help me fix my problem. My head still hurts and I didn't have pain killer with me that time. I had tears in my eyes already. After half an hour, Dr. Teng came. He checked on me and he then started taking materials to use to helped me. I can see scissors, plastic container that has liquid on it, 5 Q-tips, tissues and a puller. I knew this gonna be hurt and yes it was very painful. Dr. Teng started pushing and pulling things inside my left hole on the nose. Oh gosh it was very painful. Tears started coming down on my face and the pain started kicking in. It was very painful but I believe that when its done, I'll be free. It took long time for Dr. Teng to insert the tube back in. It was bleeding already! A lot of blood! A lot of tears! And a lot of pain! I can't believe it. After half an hour, it was done. The doctor asked me if its fine for me if he can sew the tubes so it won't come out anymore. I told him yes it is fine. My guardian and I knew that it will be more painful when the doctor will sew my tubes using a needles with the thread on it. All I can do was crying and crying for the pain. My head hurts from the pain in my nose. I was in pain already that time! Nurse Heather came inside the room to check on me. Glad to see her! She was a bit worried to me but she knows I'm a brave young lady and will get through this pain. We talked until Dr. Teng came back in with a needles and thread on his hands. I was there sitting in the hospital table waiting for the doctor to finish everything for today. I have Heather's and Drew's hands on my both hands. They knew I'll be in more painful after. Dr. Teng started sewing my tubes. He pushed each tube really deep inside my nose. It was very very painful. Blood is all over my face. Each tube has thread on it now which was connected to the tissue of my nose. I felt better after all. Yes I still have pain but I ignored the pain because everything is done and fixed now. Thanks to Dr. Teng, Drew and Heather for everything today. I was really in a better mood after I took my pain killer. Today, April 27, 2011, was very productive day in the hospital. It was an unexpected visit but I am very glad they helped me today. I can breathe normal now and I can talk properly. Thanks to them!
